Converse shoes are the first American sneakers born in the early 1920s. It’s literally the forefather of sneakers that started the casual lifestyle footwear scene influencing millions to drop the olden shoes and rock Converse sneakers. In the year 1908, Converse was producing oversized rubber boots as that was the popular choice of footwear of American people. However, Converse wanted to expand their shoe range to enter performance athletic shoes and thus, the development of the famous Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star shoes began. Chuck Taylor was a salesman and coach for Converse’s basketball club and his wide popularity in the sport led to the famous logo branding on the shoe with his name. Through great marketing, Converse shoes influenced young high school athletes to pick up basketball, after which the brand's popularity started soaring. Fast forward to the 1960s, Converse men's shoes were sported by a majority of college players and professional basketball players in the NBA. Eventually, these shoes transcended into being a lifestyle icon with popular faces from Hollywood and the music industry rocking Converse sneakers. Although the classic Chuck Taylor All-Star sneakers fit have always been unisex, many Converse women’s shoes began to appear that had a peculiar design that catered to women only with feminine colour combinations and design.
